Construct 2010

 

 

Sri Lankas largest and most influential mega event of the construction industry, Construct 2010 exhibition will be held once again held from 13th to 15th August 2010 at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Centre (SBMEC), Colombo. Construct 2010 is organized by the National Construction Association of Sri Lanka (NCASL) bringing together building materials, building services and construction equipment suppliers and manufactures with various number of other service providers such as telecommunication, insurance, banking and finance.

Started in 2001, The event is taking place for the 10th consecutive year this time and plays a prominent role because it has so much to offer for the construction industry of the country.

With a nine years history behind us, Construct 2010 is an exclusive meeting point of material and machinery suppliers of the construction industry including mega construction industrialists as well as house builders and other service providers in the industry said Chairman of the NCASL, Mr. Priyantha Perera.

Speaking on the success of the event during the last decade Chairman of the Construct 2010 organizing committee Mr. Priyal Wijayagunawardena said that Construct 2010 with over 260 stalls, this time it has included more stalls than last year increasing foreign participation from Singapore, India and Pakistan.

As the new hope of gleaming opportunities to the construction industry is coming from the infrastructure development drive in North after the post war era, the organizers had also invited the Jaffna Business Community and Jaffna Chamber of Commerce to the event.

The Construct 2010 exhibition will also show case a Display Pavilion of the massive construction projects which were undertook by the troops of Engineering Services of all three forces including Sri Lanka Army, Navy and Air Force.

Almost all the 260 stalls are sold out of the event with confirmed participation of over 180 companies utilizing the entire space of the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Centre.

With 10 incorporating events, including Construction Machinery & Equipment Show, Timber World, Lighting Asia, Security Asia, House & Property Show, Glass 2010, Aircon Show, Floor & Wall Mart, Roof Tech, Furniture & Interior Decor and Building Hardware and Tools Show the Construct 2010 will deliver unprecedented access to key decision makers in construction industry in country.
